Do I need a Passport if my cruise travels to other countries?

Answer:
Why not?  It is better to be safe than sorry!
Besides, carrying a passport is in line with a 2005 State Department Initiative for all air and sea travel to or from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Central and South America

It is a requirement to travel with proof of citizenship, and this means you need proof of a valid passport, or a birth certificate with an authorized picture identification.  A state or government picture will work just fine when you pull into a port on your Cruise Ship.

Having traveled by air or sea abroad, you will also need a passport to enter again into the Unites States from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, or the Caribbean.  Having a passport can keep your travel options open. There are countries with great golf resorts, and skiing is a favorite among travelers as well. What about sampling the local cuisine of a country?  Having a passport allows a traveler to be spontaneous and young at heart-regardless of the age.

A passport will also be required to travel into the United States from Mexico or Canada. If you visit these countries, it will be the only means of getting back legally. A passport is exactly that!  It allows you to travel abroad safely, and in today's world environment, it makes perfect sense to abide by the international rules.
