How do I keep from getting Seasick on a Cruise?

Answer:
Many people hold off on taking a cruise because they
are afraid of becoming seasick.  Although seasickness is a very unpleasant experience, there are many ways to prevent it, and to experience relief if it should happen.  If you are very worried about getting seasick, try to get accommodations near the middle of the boat, as this is where you will feel the least movement.

Always get a good night's sleep before you embark upon a cruise – you are more likely to be nauseous if you are sleep deprived.  Eat or drink some form of ginger before you leave, as ginger can often help prevent seasickness.  Ginger tea, ginger candies, and ginger ale (with real ginger) might help.  Anti-seasickness pills like Dramamine can be helpful, as can herbal remedies for motion sickness, which can be found in many health food stores.  Another way that many people prevent seasickness is to use acupressure wristbands.
