How often do they clean a Cruise Ship?

Answer:
They clean cruise ships all the time. There

are many workers who are continuously cleaning all areas of the ships. Most of the areas that are cleaned regularly are known for disease transmission, such as handrails and swimming pools.

Some cruise ships clean and paint or stain walls, pools and floors twice a day.

There is more thorough cleaning done when the passengers are onshore and even more when the ship is docked and inactive. Before a ship takes on new passengers, a complete overall cleaning process is completed.  It's a multiple point inspection to ensure all areas of the cruise ship are clean and disease free.

The Vessel Sanitation Program inspects the ships twice a year, which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. All ships are scored and must pass inspection. You can see these scores at their website.
