What are the main Cruise Ship Ports in California? |
|
Answer:
California has four main cruise ship ports. The Port of Long Beach
The Port of Los Angeles is located in San Pedro, 20 miles away from LAX airport, by way of I-105 East, I-405 South, and I-110. Nearby hotels include the Sheraton Los Angeles Harbor Hotel, Sunrise Hotel, the Cabrillo Hotel, and the Royal Hotel, all less than half a mile from the port! The Port of Los Angeles is not as busy as the Port of Long Beach overall, but is much more popular for cruise ships. The Port of San Diego, California's southernmost cruise ship port, is very near the San Diego International Airport – only 3.4 miles on city streets. Just take North Harbor Dr. westward, take a left at Scott St., a left at Shelter Island Dr., and take the first exit at the traffic circle. Consider staying at Kona Kai Resort, Bay Club Hotel, or Best Western Island Palms Hotel and Marina, all within a mile from the port. Finally, up north, the Port of San Francisco is located along the Embarcadero, and can be reached from the San Francisco International Airport by driving north on Highway 101, exiting onto I-280 North, and following the signs to the Port of San Francisco. There are many nearby hotels that you can stay at while you're enjoying this beautiful city. Try the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Hotel Vitale, or Le Meridien San Francisco.
