Pros: The ship is new, extremely large (keep

the map with you!), clean, and beautiful with an “art masters” theme that is more tasteful than some other Carnival cruise ships. The rooms are spacious and have long balconies. Some staterooms also have whirlpool baths.

There are, of course, many different options on this ship for food. The quality varies, but the formal dining room gets excellent reviews, as do many of the more casual restaurants. The ship boasts a huge casino (which is a pro for some people and a con for others), seven hot tubs, three pools, a two-story water slide, various bars, a disco, and an assortment of shows.

Cons: There are art auctions which consist of a lot of annoying sales pitches. In general, Carnival seems to really push buying “extras,” whether activities or food. This could end up costing passengers quite a bit more than they plan on paying.
